Tribological testing of metals and metal coatings.
The standard test includes three measurements with a 10-mm stainless steel ball indentor at 9N for 5 minutes.
A shorter/longer measurement (30 sec to several hours) or testing at other pressures (4-15 N) is possible upon your request.
Samples need to be in form of a plate with the following dimensions:
- thickness: 0,5-3 mm
- length: 54 mm
- width: 15-60 mm
The report includes average friction coefficients, microscopical analysis of the width of the track and mathematical calculation of the wear. Original tribological data can be provided in ASCII format.
Price for the standard measurement (3 tracks, 9N, 5 minutes per track; incl. report): 250 €
